History
The Business Association of Newfoundland and Labrador was formed in 1983. The Mandate of the Association is to promote business within its membership and better business practice. Currently, the Association maintains a membership of more than 60 local businesses.
A president and a board of directors are elected from its member business annually, who in turn represent the membership in the larger business community and political area.
The Association asserts strict participation requirements and collects a membership fee as a means of financing its Club activities.
As the Association has matured, it has demonstrated its tremendous growth potential. Increasing membership is an ongoing goal for the Business Association and expansion into other regions of the province is also an objective.
